ACTIVATION
A VERY SURRY HILLS CHRISTMAS, 2017
SHANNON RESERVE PLAYGROUND, SURRY HILLS
The projects objective was to create an all ages inclusive event for the local community. The event was managed for the City of Sydney by Margot Natoli of Margot Natoli Event + Project Management. My design brief was to create event decorations for the various stations which included workshops, Santa photos, gift wrapping, face painting and DJs.
The decorations I created referenced traditional Christmas motifs like the wreath, candy canes and tree. However they were reimagined in a more contemporary, fun and urban way.

Wreath artwork for marketing material
3 x Christmas tree sculptures
Artwork for 2 entry archways
Artwork backdrop for the Santa photo station
Signage for each station
Candy cane illustrations
Design for the gift wrapping paper
Concept and artwork template design for the Christmas tree decoration workshop
