INNER WEST COUNCIL LIBRARIES
FRUIT SALAD NECKLACE WORKSHOP
MAKE AND CREATE ONLINE TUTORIALS
SYDNEY, 2020

The Inner West Council were after a creative workshop that could be presented to their community via their website. The workshop had to be accessible for all ages and have a sustainability angle to it.

Taking inspiration from the Fruit Party public art project I delivered in Newtown in early 2020 I created the Wearables From Your Recycling: Fruit Salad Necklace Workshop.

Participants were encouraged to use their paper and cardboard recycling to create fun, wearable art pieces.

The workshop was available for free on the councils website and had 130 views.

Testimonial

Inner West Council Libraries was pleased to work with local artist Jeff McCann on our recent ‘Make and Create’ online tutorial.

Jeff and staff worked collaboratively from conception to delivery to develop the tutorial, which was in response to COVID-19 conditions. And recycling has never been so much fun!

Council was able to offer this recycling tutorial via our IWC webpage for one month. Inner West Libraries will certainly work with Jeff again in the future.
