We Are Ku-Ring-Gai: From Us, For The Future, 2025
Mural co-design & production with youth
St Ives, Sydney

I was asked by the Ku-ring-gai Council to work with the local youth to design & paint a mural on the side of the St Ives Youth Hub. The project was launched at the Youth Forum where youth were asked to write down words/phrased in response to the prompt.

We aren’t becoming. We are ______

From here I worked along side the Youth Advisory Committee to develop the final mural concept. Which included decisions around colour, layout and style.

The project concluded in a series of workshops held during Youth Week, where youth could be apart of the mural drawing and painting process. Learning new skills and gaining practical experience for painting a mural.

This project engaged 64 local youth from end to end, with over 50 submissions to the initial prompt.
