Mardi Gras, 2026 & 2025

Des Renford Leisure Centre, Maroubra
The council’s brief was to create high impact Mardi Gras displays for their leisure centre that celebrates and showcases the LGBTQIA+ community.
For 2026 I took inspiration from water ripples & coral to create a surface pattern that we wrapped the entry, foyer and tables in.
And in 2025 I created an artwork that takes reference from their pools to create a playful rainbow swimming pool environment. With people of all ages doing the different activities that you can do at the centre.
The projects also included community workshops which are delivered at the councils library during the Mardi Gars season. To be public programming for the families, youth & the broader community.
