PAPER ORNAMENTs WORKSHOP

Needing a workshop thats suitable for all ages and is perfect for our current Covid-19 situation?

I give you my Paper Ornaments Workshop. In this workshop participants will be sent the design template to make the paper sculpture via email. They will then print it out, colour it in, cut it out and assemble as a 3D hanging paper ornament. The participants will be provided with an instructional video that will explaining the entire process. They can print out the template as many times as they want. This means they can really sink their teeth into creating as many ornaments as they want.

This workshop is a perfect activity for a community engagement project/event as it is suitable for all ages. The aim of this workshop is that people can use these ornaments to decorate their spaces at home. Making these spaces more colourful and enjoyable to be in, especially with people spending a lot more time at home.

Who is this workshop perfect for:

  • school groups

  • after school care organisations

  • school holiday programming

  • festivals

It can take 30-50min to make one ornament. Depending on how much effort the participant puts into it. If they want to make multiple ornaments the workshop could very easily become multiple hours.

The instructional video will be 20-30min in length. It will have a short introduction to my practise and the workshop. Participants will be given password access to it for a 2-week time period. The video will be uploaded to my website.

What participants will need:

  • Access to a printer (black and white)

  • Pencils/textas to colour with

  • Scissors

  • Glue stick

  • String

What I will provide:

  • The PDF design templates

  • Access to the instructional video
